| Because the GTSizer
is data-aware, you are not required to write code. Plus, you don't
need to set any special properties to use the GTSizer's default features.
Follow our design time recommendations and drop the GTSizer on your form.
Once the GTSizer is dropped
on a Delphi or C++Builder form, it immediately transforms the form into
an elastic GTForm. Remove the GTSizer, and the GTForm returns to
a normal Delphi or C++Builder form. |
Automatic resolution independence:
Design your form at any resolution--large or small fonts--and run it at
any resolution; your form will still look good! (between 640x480 and 1280x1024).
SameSize: When set to
true, ensures that your forms appear virtually the same size at run time
regardless of the run time resolution
Supports third party/custom
controls: Although the GTSizer automatically supports native resizeable
Delphi controls and resizes all those which are resizeable, it may be necessary
to call certain third party controls specifically. We include the code
to do this--very easily--with an example built right in.
Supports all border styles:
Whether you create single document interface (SDI) applications or multiple
document interface (MDI) applications, the GTSizer will support them. Plus,
its resolution features will work on any border style.
Resizes at design time:
In addition to resizing at run time, the developer can resize the form
and its controls at design time.
SizeBalancing: Allows
the user to resize the width and height simultaneously, while keeping labels
close to their edit fields.
Dynamic (run-time) control
creation: Even controls that only are created or modified at run time
are supported.
Change form display size:
Set your form display at a size larger or smaller than it was at design
time. This allows developers to design multiple forms simultaneously.
Fonts: Font sizes are
automatically calculated when the form is resized. Or, you can leave a
controls font static, i.e. to see more columns and rows when a grid is
resized.
Set specific sizing values:
You can set minimum and maximum values beyond which a user cannot shrink
or stretch a form at run time.
BDE and non-BDE: Supports
both BDE and non-BDE enabled applications.
|
| Design
time: The GTSizer elastic properties can be easily enabled
or disabled at the click of a button. The GTSizer can resize both
the form and its controls at the same time. With the GTSizer enabled,
use your mouse to visually shrink or grow the form AND ALL COMPONENTS as
needed.
Run
Time: The GTSizer can maintain the professional look
of your application when the user resizes your forms. Because the
form can be resized at run time, the font and control sizes can increase
for users wishing to see data clearly, as well as shrink to allow more
forms to be opened and viewed simultaneously.
The
GTSizer can make all controls on your form proportionately visible at different
sizes. You can also provide users the option of enabling and disabling
the GTSizer's resizing feature. |
